GenuOne and Anteon to Provide Intelligent Access Control
Boston, MA - June 13, 2002
GenuOne, a leading provider of product authentication and
tracking solutions, has formally introduced its Intelligent Access
Control System (IAC) with a pilot program at Logan Airport. Security is
a top priority for airports across the country. Logan Airport, the
largest transportation hub in New England, is leading the charge
incorporating next generation technologies to ensure public safety.
The system is designed to provide Logan Airport with an instant
"snapshot" of authorized vendors onsite at any given time, allowing a
high level of security without slowing down people or products as they
use the facility. Upon successful completion of the pilot program, the
parties hope GenuOne's IAC technology will provide Logan Airport with
real time authentication and tracking of designated vendors at high
speeds and long distances in restricted and semi-restricted areas. The
facility is visited by 26 million travelers and 800 million pounds of
cargo a year and employs 16,000 people and its security presents a
great technical challenge for Massport.
"GenuOne's technology augments our comprehensive security
initiatives at Logan Airport," says Thomas J. Kinton, Jr, Director of
Aviation for Massport, the independent public authority that manages
Logan International Airport.
"GenuOne is pleased to extend it's core competency for
authentication and tracking of products in the corporate world to try
to help meet the security needs of Logan Airport," said Stephen
Polinsky, GenuOne's Co-Founder. "As a technology provider, it is very
satisfying to offer our technology and expertise to try to help ensure
public safety."
GenuOne has selected Anteon Corporation (NYSE: ANT) as its
integration partner, due to their extensive experience with IT
integration and installation projects for state and federal clients.
The parties intend to use the pilot period to evaluate IAC's
utility for use at Logan Airport. It is hoped the seamless integration
of GenuOne technology into the airport infrastructure will lead to high
levels of security without compromising the speed and efficiency of New
England's largest transportation center.
